“Building the Bridge of Communication”     As our panel members, we’ll have three College Students and a young Marine on one panel, whom we’ll call the “Bonfires” , and four of our Upper Class members on the other panel, whom we’ll again refer to as “The Uppers” .  We enjoyed having Scott Johnson as our Panel Moderator at the previous  2008 Panel Discussion, and he has agreed to serve as our moderator again.     The purpose of this panel discussion, and the panel members we have selected, is to provide a better understanding between the diverse age groups. Despite what we learn from our grandchildren, we Seniors need to better understand the difficulties faced and the mind-set of the college-age people.  They, as well, can become more aware of situations occurring in the lives of seniors, other than their grandparents.  Our moderator, Scott, provides us with very poignant questions that stimulate some really interesting discussions.     As we are inviting other guests to join us, we ask that you please provide a larger pot for the potluck dinner and we thank you in advance for that consideration.    Please call Joyce Dodge at 836-4152 to confirm your attendance and coordinate the food you will be bringing for the dinner.     Students and Uppers:   You are very welcome to invite guests to this event, be it parents or friends of students, or children or friends of the Uppers ~ we only ask that you call Meta at 858-7822 and let her know who is coming so we have a more accurate head count for the dinner and seating.  Please call with any questions you may have.       We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, January 30th at 6:00 pm in the Chapel Fireside.
