Uganda Water Well Report
Dear FBC Family,
Much has happened since last November when God moved the 5th and 6th graders, as well as many of you, to provide the needed funds to build a water well in Mabaale, Uganda. I feel the need to thank all of you for your support in the project, but how do I say thank you for something you have to get out of God’s way for Him to accomplish? That is how I feel about the well project. I began the mission project with the goal to raise $600. The kids chose to raise $15,000. The total amount raised was $14,634, this amount was just shy of the kids goal, but more than enough to complete the project. Craig Bay found an organization out of OKC called Water4 which has sold us a well kit for a fraction of the cost of a conventional well. This well kit will allow the local BTCM volunteers to enter the world of well drilling. On Wednesday, July 14th, Craig and Amy Bay, myself, and 17 other individuals from the Tulsa area will travel to Mabaale and begin to drill the well. In the process of drilling the well, we will teach those volunteers all phases of the well drilling process, so they will be able to drill wells after we leave, thus providing a vocation for them. The process is all manual—NO power is needed. So when I get back from Uganda on July 28th, I hope to be able to report the well is completed and Mabaale has clean water. The amazing part of this for me is that God used the 5th and 6th graders of FBC to not only provide clean water for an orphanage ministry, but to also create a vocation for some of the men as well. Our kids have been used by God to literally change the lives of those involved with BTCM. So very humbly, thank you.
Because the Armor Comes in all Sizes,
